Got to disagree on the affordable housing within developments issue. Council is right that they can't just rollover on these requirements. Every time the do, they incentivise developers coming up with more sob stories (real or imagined) about how they can't possibly deliver homes people can afford to buy.
When the developer signs a contract, if they can't stick to it then why would we shurg and say 'ok fine'. I can't see any other industry allowing that to stick. Well apart from rail infrastructure, government IT contracts...
